Our Jobs
We enjoy our work and love being around dogs and cats all day but taking care of pets is not all fun and games. Being a pet care professional at Poochies & Mutts requires attention, a willingness to tackle the dirty jobs and jump in when needed, and spending almost all day on your feet. We regularly hire the following positions for full and part-time:
Pet Care Professionals
Our pet care professionals take care of our boarded cats and dogs and our daycare dogs. This includes feeding, clean-up, exercise and socialization, and watching over the dogs in the common areas. Many of our most successful pet care professionals have been college students who are entering a biology or veterinary field.
Pet Groomers
As a groomer you will bathe, brush, and groom our guests working directly with the client to make recommendations and understand their grooming requirements. We prefer to hire groomers with some experience but will train the right person.
Pet Bathers
Are you a college student who needs some part-time work and loves dogs? Our pet bather jobs are perfect for those who have flexibility in their schedule. You’ll bathe dogs in preparation for our groomers and clean up the DIY dog wash area after customer use.
Pet Space Cleaners
We always need reliable people who are willing to get their hands dirty cleaning up after our guests. You might work in the boarding kennels or in the open space play areas keeping the areas clean and sanitized. You may work before, during, or after hours and with or without dogs in the area.
What We’re Looking For
Poochies & Mutts is a fast-paced environment. It’s loud. It can be messy. Every day is a different experience because every day there’s a different mix of dogs. We need people who pay attention and are quick to act and willing to jump in where help is needed – whatever the need. Our interview process is typically a working interview – we want to see how you do and give you a feel for the environment right from the start so you can decide if it’s the right fit for you.

Poochies & Mutts is an energetic and fast-paced atmosphere. We work hard to keep our guests safe and comfortable, but some of that work is fun for us too. Expect lots of playtime with pets, but also lots of time spent cleaning up after those pets. After all, where there are pets, there is poop.
